Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium

Incarnate Word 400

Incarnate Word’s 154-acre campus is just minutes from downtown San Antonio in Alamo Heights. The Alamo Heights area is filled with a variety of tourist attractions including the Witte Museum, the McNay Art Museum, the San Antonio Botanical Gardens, and Brackenridge Park. Brackenridge Park is home to the San Antonio Zoo and the Japanese Tea Gardens, and is filled with trails and other scenic areas to run, walk, or just enjoy an afternoon picnic or barbeque. In addition to being located in one of the most picturesque parts of the city, UIW’s welltended grounds, trees, blooming flowers, and classic architecture, provide a comfortable environment to study, think, and just hang out with friends.

Contact Football Campers will train on the Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium. The stadium officially opened on campus September 1, 2008, when the Bensons joined with more than 2,000 Cardinals fans and athletes to declare the facility ready for action. Benson and his family long have been ardent supporters of Incarnate Word. A San Antonian himself, Benson is the owner of professional football's New Orleans Saints. The stadium has permanent seating for 6,000 spectators and the playing area itself is artificial, Hellas Matrix. This is a great facility to take your game to the next level!
