Houston Baptist University is located in Houston Texas, one of the nation's most vibrant and diverse cities. Houston is home to four major professional sports franchises: the NFL's Texans, the NBA's Rockets, MLB's Astros and MLS's Dynamo.
Coach Jason Guthrie from Trinity University directs this summer's camp in Texas. We are excited to once again have Coach Jason Guthrie from Trinity University directing this summer's camp in Texas.
Many programs around the nation would be envious of the Trinity University Tigers football team. Trinity has won 14 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference titles in the last 16 years. In addition, the Tigers have advanced to the NCAA Division III playoffs in 11 of the last 13 seasons.
Coach Guthrie just completed his tenth year on the Tiger coaching staff, after seven years of coaching at the high school level in Tennessee. Guthrie spent three years as the offensivecoordinator and wide receivers coach at Brentwood H.S. At Brentwood, he helped the team to a 29-7 record, and helped the offense to an average of better than 30 points per game. The team also won the State Championship in his final year.
