Lake Forest College is a coeducational undergraduate institution located just 30 miles north of Chicago in the small city of Lake Forest, Illinois. One of the most beautiful suburbs on Chicago's North Shore, Lake Forest provides a secure, supportive environment for the College. The beautiful 107-acre campus sits just a few blocks from Lake Michigan and is within walking distance of the train station and the shops, cafés, and restaurants of downtown Lake Forest.

Directing the program this summer is Head Football Coach at Lake Forest College, Jim Catanzaro. Under "Coach Cat's" direction, the Foresters have re-written the Foresters record books.

In 2011 the Foresters broke 25 school records. Records fell in team categories in offensive and special teams categories, while individual performances appear on the top 5 all time lists in offense, defense, and special teams categories. The youthful Foresters provided exciting football, claiming their first victory against Beloit College since 2007, and increasing their win-streaks against Knox (2) and Lawrence University (5). In addition, the Foresters also saw themselves within a single score of the lead in the fourth quarter in all but two of their conference losses.

At the time of his appointment, Catanzaro entered the MWC as the youngest head coach in the conference. Prior to being named head coach, Catanzaro served as the defensive coordinator for the Foresters. During his tenure, Lake Forest defenses were consistently ranked at or near the top of the conference each season. Prior to arriving in the Forest, Catanzaro served as an assistant at Wingate University (NCAA D2).

During his time in North Carolina, the Bulldogs achieved unprecedented success as they recorded an 8-3 record in 2004, the largest win total in school history at that point. In addition, Catanzaro coached two All-Americans (John Bowman and Kenwin Cummings) who were first year starters for the Bulldogs. Both individuals would sign professional contracts, as Bowman would be an ALL-CFL selection for the Montreal Allouettes, Cummings would play professionally for the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys. Catanzaro was a member of the 2004 South Atlantic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year.

Special team play and scrimmaging is also a big part of our programs. All phases of down-field coverages, wedge busting, tackling, blocking for punts, field goals, extra points, holding, kick-off, and kick receiving is covered. And after working hard all week, both individually and as a team, the final day 'live' scrimmage is the highlight of camp. Campers are divided into teams by age, weight, size and ability. Using light and dark jerseys, teams scrimmage as parents, friends and the entire camp staff cheers them on. Every camper plays at least one-half of our scrimmage.
